September 1997 – January 2002

University of California, San Diego (GPA 4.0/4.0)

Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering

Thesis title: Human Body Model Acquisition and Tracking using Multi-Camera Voxel Data

Developed an integrated system for automatic acquisition of the human body model and its tracking from multiple synchronized video sequences. The human body model is described using twists framework; model acquisition uses a Bayesian network for estimation of body part sizes and the tracker is an extended Kalman filter.
